There is no charge for this training,
but we are asking all attendees
to download, print and bring with you our
POLLWATCHER TOOLKIT (Chicago Edition)
http://ballot-integrity.org/toolkit-chicago.pdf
We will be discussing this Poll Watcher kit in detail,
so please bring a copy with you to the training.
We will not have copies to distribute.
For each session, we can accommodate 100 trainees,
so please email me at drlora2@yahoo.com or call 773-486-7660
and tell me which session you will be attending.
We will have poll watching credentials for all Illinois registered
voters who go through the training (please bring your voter
registration cards). Candidates will distribute their own poll
watching credentials to their campaign workers.
We urge that all candidates send a 1-2 campaign workers who will
then teach the rest of their workers how to be fully qualified poll
watchers, knowledgeable about election laws, and able to spot fraud.
We ask that you do not bring any campaign literature, buttons or signs
to this training. We don't need to know who you are supporting, we just
need to train you on how to monitor the polls correctly and legally.
Poll Watching is easy, you do not have to commit to the whole day on
Election Day. Even if you only have a few hours in the morning or the
evening, it is a great civic action to monitor the polls.
Let's have free, fair and valid elections this election season in
Chicago.
Come on out to the poll watching training and find out how you can
help!
Thank you very much for your sense of civic duty,
Dr. Lora Chamberlain

The Illinois Ballot Integrity Project, is a non-profit, non-partisan
civic organization which has been promoting security, fairness,
and validity of our elections since 2003.
For every election, we recommend that Voters Vote on Paper.
"Paper is Safer!"
This means vote on Election Day at the Polls
or, if you can't, then vote Absentee.
At all other times, voting in Chicago is permitted only on the touch
screen machines--which are extremely vulnerable to election tampering!
We have many voting resources on our website, such as our handy "Tips
for Voters" sheet. All of the information is easy to understand and
free to the public at
http://ballot-integrity.org
We also offer an "Election Incident Hotsheet" reporting system on our
website. We welcome your reports of election irregularities at any
time--before, during, or after election day. We compile this
information and use it in our advocacy for free, fair and valid
elections.
Thanks for voting!
